"We loved our stay here! The check in was easy and the staff spoke English and walked you through the whole thing, which was extremely helpful.
They also have buttons you push each day to let them know if you need your toiletries and towels replaced, your room cleaned, or nothing. The laundry was also extremely convenient (free washers and coin dryers for 100 yen).
The bed is very hard, which is typical for Japan, but messed our backs up since we aren’t used to it. The pillows are also the hardest and flattest pillows I’ve ever had, but we were able to ask for softer ones that were a lot better at the front desk. The room was very spacious (Queen) by Japan standards.
Location was great, a 10 minute walk to Kyoto station and lots of food nearby.
The buffet breakfast was great and the line system was smooth. The onsen was also nice, though I really wish the womens had a cold bath like the men’s to cool off in between baths.
Overall a great experience and would stay here again!"
