“My stay here was an amazing experience. The restaurant offered service on par with what you would expect from a hotel, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and made a lasting impression. While the cleanliness of the room and the lack of transportation options could be considered minor downsides, the room quality was still reasonable given the price. Since I was already aware of the isolated location, it wasn't an issue for me.”

“This was lovely in many ways. My room was spotless and spacious, Breakfast was hot and plentiful with a reasonable choice. The new season has maybe not kicked in as some of the outside areas could do with a little tidy up. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. This is not the fault of the hotel, but it is worth noting that there are few public transport links to the local towns and seemingly none before 9.30 am or after about 7 pm.,”

While on bith occasions we arrived at the hotel well ahead of normal check-in time, we only had to wait a short time until our room was available. This was very good as it was tiring after a long journey. The hotel is convenient for cruising from Southampton as it is only a short distance to the ferry terminal, but the hotel provided a complimentary transfer on the embarkation day. “Everything is excellent! The room is beautifully equipped, with superbly comfortable bed, brilliant shower, decent size bath and good Wi-fi. All staff in the pub were friendly and served us with good humour at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food was brilliant (we ate there every night). Location was just what we were after, small village with no shops, but easy driving distance from larger centres. Plenty of walking trails nearby. Highly recommended.”
