We had an amazing stay at the ranch. The rooms were impeccable. The service was perfect. The property was peaceful. Walk around at night....you won't be disappointed.
My only critique is that we could not get room service on Valentine's day. Aside from the fact that we just wanted privacy, two fixed price $95 dinners with lobster/ribeye doesnt make sense for vegetarians. Guests at the ranch should be able to get room service and whatever they want.

I loved my quick trip to santa monica and greatly enjoyed the beauty of the shutters ocean view room with patio. Being able to see the ocean makes me feel closer to nature and i loved the decoration of this hotel including books to read and toys to play with in the room. We used a bike for an hour which was fun. The pool area is nice and very refreshing. Room service breakfast was very relaxing.

Decor is fabulous , modern but super comfortable... they have a gorgeous roof deck bar and hangout ( just for hotel guests ) where you can spend many hours watching the ocean , sunrise , sundown , the surfers etc . Thoroughly relaxing.....
