“Lovely spacious rooms and really friendly bar/restaurant with a good atmosphere bearing in mind it was a Monday night. Food choice and quality was excellent.”

“We arrived on a Tuesday to be told the pub doesn't open on a Monday or Tuesday, so no food or drink available. This should be noted in the literature about the place as it was in the country and had to travel a few miles to find the amenities. The Grab and go breakfast was a lot to be desired.”

“I stayed here to attend a wedding nearby. The staff helped me locate the property (wedding goers had parked in front of the sign and hidden it). I had booked a single room and it was ideal for one person. Shower room spacious and worked well.”

“Lovely old and fascinating English house in a beautiful setting, near to lots of interesting places. We enjoyed the breakfast which was efficiently served in a characterful room. Our bedroom was comfortable. We were disturbed by mosquitoes in the night and I was bitten. We had to close the windows but found a fan which helped cool us down and deterred the mosquitoes further. “1 Star – Not Recommended This is not really a hotel but an old countryside pub with a few guest rooms. The location is extremely remote, and it is pitch black outside at night with very little lighting. The building is old, the rooms feel dated, and the overall experience was disappointing. If you’re expecting a comfortable hotel, you will likely be disappointed. I would not stay here again.”
