"Cozy room, very clean, convenient location and helpful staff"

"We stayed on the 2nd floor of this hotel during an unexpected heat wave. Up 53 steps with no elevator or lift. The room and bath were large and well equipped; nice beds. The hotel offers air conditioning but it is pre-set and we could not make it go lower. The coffee service is 24-hour with lots of choices. We did not eat there but it looked appetizing. The hotel is on a pedestrian street in the Marais with lots of shops and a Metro Station right there. Nice staff at a 24-hour desk."

"A lovely hotel. Clean, quiet, quaint. Would have liked a few hooks or shelves in bathroom just to hang up a toiletry kit because there was no counter space. A simple fix. Also, the limited time for a coffee or tea in the main lounge area was a bit disappointing. For 500 Euro a night, it should be available 24 hours. Otherwise, it was a lovely hotel, excellent location. Two great restaurants right beside hotel. And I could spend a week in the lovely lounge lobby area in the hotel."

"Great location in Marais, convenient to many attractions on foot or via Metro. Great, helpful, English speaking staff. Room photos on-line show light filled, traditional decor. Mine was tiny, a window onto a light shaft, water dripping from shower ceiling with failing plaster and strong mildew smell. Ikea quality, cheap furniture, cracked sink, laminate floor. Good daily housekeeping. No signs or advice about the 15 euro cold breakfast buffet in the sub basement. It's NOT included in the room. Great bakery around the corner, off the plaza to the west. Lounge furniture and carpets are past needing refreshing. Somebody is milking this property. I would not stay here again. No central heat. No AC. It was 90F while I was there. Miserable."
