“The staff is always nice and helpful. The rooms are perfect for our family. The Cookhouse is an easy place to eat. The food is great and only about 100 feet from the furthest cabin door. Love the sitting areas and the trail around the property. Close enough to Park Rapids if you need major stores! We love this place.”

Our confirmation said we were getting a “cabin” (so I expected an cabin with a porch overlooking the lake) and we were shown to a dorm room with a dreary bed and bunk beds in a small room and bathrooms down the hall. When we asked for a cabin like our reservation said, we were shown to a “cottage” which was actually a duplex with dreary furniture in one room with a bathroom door that couldn’t close because it hit the toilet and was dirty and smelly.
