Lovely spot, right by the river, walking distance ( fairly level)to Windermere Lake and boats etc. Eating places also within walking distance, plenty others short drive away( Anglers Arms, Masons Arms). Bus stop very handy if needed.

โI had a wonderful stay! The rooms were spotlessly clean and really comfortable. The location is perfect โ thereโs a supermarket just a short walk away, which was super convenient. What really stood out to me were the owners. Itโs a family-run place and you can genuinely feel how much they care about their guests. They were incredibly kind and welcoming. Iโd definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-located stay!โ
โThe Royal is a great hotel situated in the quaint village of Heysham.
We loved our stay. Lots of nice walks and history. The hotel has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere.
The food is excellent and all staff are friendly and display excellent communication and customer service skills.
Everwhere is spotlessly clean. Free parking is an added bonus.
We will be returning soon and I will recommend the Royal to my friends and family.โ

The room was spacious and comfortable with a shower and bath.It was very quiet.Breakfast in the morning was great and heather made us feel so at home.

โThe restaurant was excellent although the service was slow as there was no Maitre d' at the door to welcome and we had to wait quite a few minutes to be seated. However, the waiter cleared a table for us efficiently upon request.
The setting was perfect for our outdoor weekend: rapidly flowing river outside our window and lovely views into the valley.
