It's an apartment with two flats, one on the second floor and one on the third floor, above a storefront about half way between the Ueno and Asakusa stations. That said, it's not bad as a rental apartment, and was a good fill-in for us when our Air BnB booking was cancelled on short notice. All of the communication with the owner was via the Expedia site - we never met anyone in person, but got check-in instructions via messages...

Very conveniently located to Nippori station for airport transport and quick subway rides to the rest of Tokyo's sights. This neighborhood has some great restaurants and bars as well. The hotel itself is incredibly charming and hip with helpful staff. "
