We enjoyed our stay here. The room was a good size with a good shower. Take note when they describe balcony as this is not a balcony with space to sit on. Great facilities for coffee and tea in the lobby. The staff were very helpful with organising cheaper taxis for us

The desk personnel were very nice and helpful. The roof top pool was small bet clear and area around was comfortable. The rooms were clean and the shower was hot and had good pressure. The lobby had free coffee and cold water refill station. The hotel was very good for the price.

The room was clean and had all the facilities needed. Staff was friendly. The rooms are so noisy, you hear noise the entire night, I think there is no isolation at all. They provide earplugs in the room, but even they don’t help a lot, you can still hear the noise from outside through them.

Lovely stay

Beautiful rooftop terrace and pool really made the stay amazing. The rooms were very clean and the showers were great. Free pastries and coffee for breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. Location wasn’t great as was a good 15 minute walk into town. Local beach also not the best. Overall I would recommend staying here as for the price it was very good.

Awesome service, very clean and neat overall. The rooms were spacious and had nice, modern decorations. My favorite part was the rooftop pool which despite not being ocean front had a very nice view. Fairly close walking distance to main attractions ( 5th avenue ) staff was nice and respectful. The little restaurant at the corner has pozole Thursdays and let me just say best pozole I've ever had!! Had an awesome stay at Balkon Boutique Hotel! Thanks!!

Better options elsewhere

The only thing this hotel has going for them is that it is new and modern. It is far from practically everything, it is adjacent to homes so you hear dogs barking and kids crying at all times of the night. The lobby remains with its sliding glass doors open all night so you have some sketchy people hanging in the lobby. We didn’t sleep for two nights due to the noise and decided to cut out loses and check out early and pay for another hotel. When we approached the lady at check out about our issues she just gave us a blank stare and said nothing she could do and then charged us $2 for a bottle of water we consumed considering we were leaving early and loosing our money. This was our 12th trip to Playa del Carmen and we have never felt so uncomfortable before at a hotel. Stay elsewhere. There are many great options in Playa.

La propiedad está bien ubicada, tiene lugares para comer cerca (recomiendo mucho "Que huevos" y considero que era bastante seguro. Me gustó el trato del personal, el area de la piscina, la habitación muy bonita. Lo unico que no me gusto fue que se sentia mucho un olor a cigarro en los ascensores. Les sugerería tener un fridge para que los huespedes puedan comprar bebidas :)

Super service - udemærket hotel.

Lille hyggeligt hotel med fin beliggenhed.Vi havde booket 2 nætter, men endte faktisk med at booke en mere, da vi ikke var helt færdige med at se området. Det tager ca 30 minutter at gå ind til centrum og vi kunne godt have fundet noget tættere på til cirka samme pris. Men hotellet var rent og pænt samt meget serviceminded. Det var nok primært pga. den gode service fra Rosset og Guillermo og trygheden der gjorde at vi blev. Parkering er i øvrigt gratis og let tilgængelig.

El hotel es muy bonito y a unos pasos de los restaurantes y tiendas de la 5ta y la playa. El personal es muy amable, sobre todo Min, la chica de recepción. El único detalle es que la alberca podría estar en mejores condiciones, pero aún así es muy bonita. Totalmente recomendado si vistas Playa del Carmen.

Muy buena opción en relación al precio y la calidad del hotel. Esta a unos 10 minutos caminando de la 5ta avenida. El hotel está limpio y el personal nos trató muy bien. La zona del hotel no es la mejor y hay un poco de ruido en la noche por la avenida.
