“Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time.”

“The room was in the attic with a very low ceiling, and we kept hitting our heads on it. The room was also extremely small, making it quite uncomfortable to stay in. The shower water was cold, which was very disappointing. On the positive side, the food was genuinely delicious and was the best part of our stay. Overall, despite the good food, the room conditions and facilities made this a disappointing experience.”

“Well maintained and characteristic property with exposed beams and period features combined with modern decor and facilities. The only thing to be aware of is there is no shower in either bathroom (likely due to low ceilings), although both have a mixer tap with a showerhead so you can sit / kneel and shower this way. Whilst its proximity to the road is close, it was not a busy road, so passing traffic was not an issue during our stay. There was a pub within 1min walk of the property that also...

“We have stayed here on numerous occasions & find the staff are always friendly / helpful. However upon my original booking, it would have been nice to know that the pub now closes at 4pm every Sunday. I was looking forward to an evening meal as it has always been excellent in the past. I do concider the cost high to stay in a pub & considering we were not able to use all the amenities. So I may look elsewhere on my next visit to see family in Leominster.”

“A lovely hotel with beautiful views. Very nice restaurant with very good breakfast & dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very disappointed to find the pool out of order after our long drive, guess we should have rang ahead. Bedroom ok, bed & bedding good. There was an air on unit set up and plugged in but it was dead, there was a fan that was incredibly loud at night. Also most of the light fixtures didn’t seem to work. Shower was ok. “Beautifully presented peaceful B&B with lovely views towards the Brecon Beacons from the breakfast room. We selected this B&B due to proximal convenience to the local "Y Promenad" parkrun, just a few minutes walk away, which I visited to collect my "Y" as part of parkrun's alphabet tourism challenge.
