“Lovely hotel large comfy rooms ,pillows nice and bouncy tea ,coffee and biscuits in the room nice products in the bathroom , very clean hotel only cold buffet breakfast due to a gass cooker problem but directed to the george for a cooked breakfast which was perfect would definitly book again.”

“This is an ancient, historic hotel. Be mindful of the fact that you are staying here more for the character and historical significance then for the comfort. Stairways are small and steep and parking - went available at all - is challenging. That said, however, the staff is very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our one night stay.”

“We had room 17- a review of this room last September was awful. If accurate it has now been improved as it was comfortable and we had no issues with it. All staff were very good - friendly and efficient.Breakfast was excellent. Ample parking at front of property . Grassy area at back alongside the river with sitting area was very nice. Position of hotel is great with a short walk straight into Rye which is a lovely town with many places to eat - lovely old pubs and interesting buildings. Lamb...

“Very clean and cozy place but if you don’t have a car or a friend who could give you a ride it’s better to use a hotel in the central village. If you drive this is the hotel. Its swimming pool is very nice as well as its garden. ”

“Room was ok. Nice clean bathroom and shower was good. Check in was terrible, it’s a self check in room and no codes were sent, i tried calling the host multiple times via phone and WhatsApp, no response. I had to contact Hotels.com customer service and wait an hour to get a key-code to enter. There was no WiFi, there were instructions on the wall but the router was not present, a neighbour had the same problem. The TV only works on WIFI so no TV. The location is handy being close to the train...

“I was disappointed with this stay. For the amount of money it cost, the caravan was not clean, was overcrowded and needs a lot of smarting up. You had to pay extra to have bedding which I think is unreasonable, particularly how much it cost per night anyway. Communication with the host was fine but not great. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending or returning to this property. ”
