"My stay started kinda bad but wasn't no big deal but the next morning I wanted to get to room again but the way they and everywhere else I've been just rolled over my deposit or something not really sure what they do but I know I never had to pay a 2ed deposit. So that means I would have $50 from the night before and she wanted another $50 for me to stay in the same room. So I would have $100 on a hold for 5 days. They and other places never did it that way . Plus being rude with a bad attitude did not help me out one bit. I think that's what was bad. She didn't help said manager not they today, of course "

"We had a side view of the ocean, spacious room, easy parking, great breakfast, very close to the ocean. Will come up."

"Our stay here for 5 nights was absolutely great. When we entered our room, we quickly learned that the AC unit wasn’t working properly. We alerted the front desk, and while we were out for a couple of hours, we returned to our room and found that the entire unit has been replaced with a new one — both the panel and the vents!! Phenomenal and quick solution. A couple of days later, we asked about room service and they said we just needed to give them a day’s notice. Totally understand that nowadays, so we just asked for a couple of fresh towels. They said they’d drop them by the room for us. When we returned, we had the towels — and the entire room had been cleaned and serviced. A total surprise and GREAT customer service. We didn’t run into a single unfriendly staff member the entire stay — from the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast staff. The rates were great for being a block or so from the Pacific Ocean and overall it was a great, great experience. Kudos to all of this hotel. "

"The property is located just a few minutes from Carlsbad Village. The beach is in walking distance. The hotel offers bicycles, beach chairs and towel. They also have a shuttle that can take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius. We enjoyed the spa where we had a couples massage. All the employees from the front desk to the wait staff and room attendants were so nice. We had a balcony with a view of the pool and the ocean. It was so peaceful and relaxing! "

"Room was dirty, there was crumbs under the bed and all over the room. Bed it’s self was awful, had stains all over and everything was just simply old and moldy. Disgusting. "

"Mark has been lively. Needed to borrow an ironing board and iron and hr helped explain the 200 channel cable system which I couldn't find at first. Quiet night yet place was full. Amazing. "

"Did not use pool. Location is fantastic. 2 minute walk to beach in lovely neighborhood full of chirping birds for lovely morning walk. Would have liked desk & chair in room. Toilet had trouble flushing. Breakfast was minimal but OJ was great and coffee good. Would have liked closet w/ hangers to hang clothes."
