Hotel Santa Barbara
10/10 Excellent
"Over all a great stay, property is beautiful and clean, walking distance from local restaurants and 10 mins from the beach!"

Santa Barbara Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Well kept and quiet. Great location for a relaxing stay and the view of the beach was great."

Ala Mar by the Sea
6/10 Okay
"Location was amazing. Bathroom was dirty, moldy and unventilated and the room was not ready by the promised time. Front desk lady was rude because I didn’t fill in a form that was texted to me in the middle of my 5 hour drive to Santa Barbara. If a form was required it should have been sent 24 hours earlier, not when people are actively traveling. Maintenance man was very nice and helpful. We didn’t know how to check in, there was no signage saying that the registration desk was at a neighboring hotel and thankfully he walked us over to check in. He salvaged what started out as a crappy experience."

Casa Riviera
8/10 Good
"Property was clean and efficient. The unit was a studio unit so we didn’t have a lot of space and there were no amenities."

The Inn at East Beach
8/10 Good
"Well the whole vibes of the Inn was great. I loved the blue aesthetic and the beds were comfortable. What I didn’t really like was the bathroom door being because it was kinda open in a way. Another thing was how the floor was really dirty. I feel they should provide sandals and slippers or at least let the guests know that the floors aren’t clean before their stay. The $15 parking fee was crazy so it’s probably better to find parking around the Inn on the streets. Other than those critiques, I really did like the Inn."

Motel 6 Santa Barbara, CA - Beach
10/10 Excellent
"Great ocean views, walking to the beach, beautiful, clean pool"

Casa Jardin
10/10 Excellent
"The place was great. The communication was excellent- information/ updates/ reminders were shared throughout the stay and always stated that questions/ issues could be addressed immediately via text or call. Housekeeping staff was always around minding the property, so it never felt like we were completely on our own should we need anything. The bed was soft and the windows actually opened so we could get the ocean breeze! The kitchenette was stocked with everything we could possibly need. The bathroom had all sorts of toiletries if needed as well, including full-size soaps. There was even a brown noise machine! The SB Bowl was less than a 20 minute walk, and dinner was only 2 or 3 blocks away as well. It was a great help to have a place to leave the car and take advantage of the walkability of the city. I loved the ease and convenience of the smart lock so I didn’t have to worry about any actual keys/ cards. Noise was not much of an issue. We were in town only for 2 days to see a show at the Bowl but would’ve loved staying longer. The proximity to everything we needed plus the availability of everything we could want, at the cost we paid made this an ideal place."

Hotel Californian
4/10 Poor
"We stayed here one night in May. Here are the highlights: -Hotel staff was nowhere to be found once we were escorted to the building we were staying in (multiple buildings). -The hotel bar closed at 8pm. -We attempted to make use of the amenities - rooftop pool - but due to what I presume was cloudy weather the chairs outside had no cushions and there were no hotel staff to service. -I was awakened by a 3am washing of our room's windows. I contacted staff which got back to me 6 hours later to apologize and offer some credit for the inconvenience. This was unacceptable and ridiculous. What an oversight. -The next day we met up with friends at the pool which was crowded. It took 1 hour for our diet cokes to arrive. And my friend was treated rudely by the staff member running the pool. I'm not sure if he ended up paying for fruit that we never received. -After checkout I was surprised to be charged for undisclosed $60+ "leisure fees" and $14 delivery for the room service we ordered on arrival (ultimately this was comped due to the window incident). But I really wonder how they possibly justify this added expense given the lack of attentive staff and narrow hours of operation. Overall this is simply not a luxury destination hotel. It's a beautiful location with well designed facilities. But they are currently charging inflated rates for what seemed like a short-staffed operation."

Riviera Beach House
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was wonderful. We had a king room with a garden patio. The room was so small that it barely fit anything but the bed. We had to edge around it just to move. The bathroom was tiny with few hooks or shelves. The bathroom door had no latch, swung open and closed and was frosted glass with an inch of space all around so there was very little privacy. There was nowhere to put our bags in the room or our toiletries in the bathroom. No closet and just a few drawers that were too hard to get to so we didn't use them. Thank goodness for the patio which we used as our sitting room. If you can get a smaller bed, it may be okay."
