โWe arrived late so unfortunately didnโt get to experience the food but the bar and restaurant was lovely and we only wish we could have spent more time here.
The decor is amazing.
Rooms were large and comfortable and had everything we needed.

Pity the breakfast option wasn't available (due to unforeseen circumstances) but there are plenty cafes, restaurants etc on the doorstop that do the job just as well. โ

We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. Iโm not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.
Iโm being picky hoping Iโm being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. โ
โClean & comforts, but thereโs no table which even canโt have a simple breakfast. Have 2 sofa which are no use for us. Itโs better to have a table & storage drawer.โ
โNot great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old.โ
โHotel swimming pool was awful. Dirty shower location and also pool condition. Also pool guide lady was no sense of service.
Hotel can't get 4 star grade. Very old and also breakfast was unexpectable why I pay that money.โ
โAs part of our honeymoon road trip my good lady wife wanted to see Beamish so the holiday inn was a good choice location wise. From the start the hotel, staff and managers were top notch even going out of their way to manage my accessibility and food allergy issues. Absolutely will be back again and again. โ
โThere were no cocktails to be had At All ! The pillows need changing as they are like bricks and the Showers need a shower mat as it becomes very, very slippery.
This is a shame, because everything else was Great.โ
โThis is a hotel with real character. Built as a civic building in 1905, the hotel owner totally renovated the guest rooms but retained the beautiful interiors along the corridors, in the restaurant, etc. In the guest rooms, there is a rarity -- lots of electrical outlets! Also, as this building was built solid, guest rooms are quiet -- you hear nothing from the next room. All the staff (check in, restaurant, cleaners) were very helpful and pleasant. I would stay here again. โ
