“Friendly staff really wanted us to have a good stay”

“We stayed for one night, also having dinner and breakfast. The room was lovely and clean, the dinner and breakfast were both freshly cooked and delicious. It was great to see the bar /restaurant buzzing with locals and others staying there. Staff were really helpful. Would definitely recommend as a great place to stay and located well for exploring. ”

“The hotel is on the beach and a close walk to centre of town and very close to the marina. The room was clean and bright. Staff are very helpful, welcoming and professional. ”

“Only stayed one night, to break up our journey. Easy booking via Expedia, easy to find with ample parking. Lovely friendly welcome at reception by Lil. We had a nice, spacious, spotlessly clean room with A Patio ! We couldn't resist the Sunday carvery which was very nice, as was the breakfast the next morning. So with a lovely location, nice friendly staff giving great service, what is not to like. Thanks to all of your hardworking staff & looking forward to visiting again soon. M&S”

“There was only small cubes of melon and frozen berries, not good . There was banana etc , but not a good choice otherwise . But the rest was. Very exceptable .”

“We had a wonderful stay in this property. Fantastic location right on the seafront - we had a sea view from our spacious family room. We needed to check in very late and we contacted the hotel to make sure this wasn’t a problem - the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and our late check in was not an issue. Good range of choice for breakfast - cereals, fruit, yogurt, croissants and pastries, meats and cheese plus a hot buffet. We have only given 4 stars for the property condition...

“Its an old thatched pub and the room shape and conditions reflect that - sloping floors and wonky walls but the bedding , towels etc were clean and fresh. Rooms are above the bar so not quiet until the pub closes. Pub downstairs is friendly and has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice behind the bar. They serve food but I didn't try any so can't comment on that. Reasonably large attached car park although theres no covered area or anything to chain a motorcycle to.”

Carly, the assistant manager with her friendly and professional manner personified everything else The only downside is our room (102) had a noisy neighbour who left their TV on all night ”

“Only a one night stay but everything was great. Plenty of EV chargers, great bar, food was good. Room excellent. Will stay again”

“Only two staff trying to run hotel. Had to wait for a table then service, even though the restaurant only had a couple of people in it. As the girl couldn’t run everything, not her fault. Food was terrible and dry with brown coleslaw. The hotel didn’t seem that busy considering it was Easter weekend. Had the same problem I at the other Premiere Inn hotel in Exeter last year.”

“Room and bed are cleaned well and morning breakfast is served also good. But ventilation is not good. Doesn't have any air conditioner so room is filled with hot air when checked in. Hotel is closed to road so that buzzing vehicles noise comes into window over night make me hard to sleep. Electric hot pot is served with stain inside so there's no way to make tea in the room.”
