“Brilliant location, on the headland with views of the sea from the restaurant and our bedroom. Staff very friendly, excellent gluten free options particularly the cinnamon cheesecake! and they willingly let us use their big white towels on the beach when we didn't bring our own. Really lovely 2 day visit.”

“The hotel was lovely staff very friendly and helpful.
Free hot drinks available 24hrs and water.
Our first time taking our new puppy on holiday so pet friendly also which was great for us with the children also.
The breakfast buffet was amazing lots of choice available.
Our children didn’t make it down for breakfast as was by 10am.
But the staff game us a takeaway box to put a croissant in each for them so was really nice.
There was entertainment on the terrace music playing which was lovely...
“I liked the old world charm of Southern Cross, and the relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
The bed was comfortable, and there were some nice touches such as strawberries to put on our cereal at breakfast, home-made marmalade, and nice biscuits on the tea tray in our room. We appreciated these.”

During our stay, there was extensive building work being carried out on the campus -which resulted in diversions and restricted parking spaces - but this was obviously a temporary problem.
