"Staff are great, rooms are clean, and bed is comfortable. The atmosphere is charming and eco-friendly details are appreciated.
BUT the rooms and maintenance need improvement, and the concept for design and décor needs a lot of work. While we were there one of the elevators went out. The floor of the shower is slippery when wet, and dangerous for older people who could fall. Previously we stayed in a room that was much better. This time the "executive" room was so small that there was barely room for the suitcases, and the room was dreary, with poor lighting, black decor and no privacy curtain so either the blackout curtain is closed for privacy with no light, or the blackout curtain is open and you can see into other people's apartments across the narrow alley, and vice versa. The thermostat is black on black so to read the little dial in the dim light of the room you need a flashlight. There is only one chair in the room, which assumes that there is no second person doing anything but sitting or lying on the bed.
