Southern Highlands, Scotland hotel rooms at the Freetobook

"This is a 4 star hotel however I'd give it a 2 at best. The staff were lovely and could not have been nicer, however the room was very basic. The bed was uncomfortable, the room had a kettle and very basic tea and coffee options. Also, we arrived and was told that no food would be served that night in the hotel but were given no prior warning to this. We then expected a full breakfast (included in the cost) but again, woke to a breakfast of cereal and pastries. At no point did anyone make us aware that there would be no hot food in the morning as well. Probably wouldn't recommend as we chose this hotel over other similarly priced hotels in the area, but fear I made the wrong choice."

"This place was beautiful and they took so very well of me! Laundry, food, entertainment, comfortable bed and clean rooms and any questions or concerns were addressed immediately! David was so wonderful!! I highly recommend. "

"Parking was fine as we got there before car park filled up. There are no shops nearby. Our room had only a drip of cold water coming out the tap. The bed was sagging and the kettle was rusty inside. Apart from that it was warm and clean. "
