"The best thing about the hotel is the Onsen! The price was also reasonable. The hotel is a little on the worn side but still in good shape. It does have a shuttle to/from the echigo-yuzawa station but their hours are limited. The last pickup is 5:30pm if you miss that you will need to hire a taxi (expensive), take a bus (also limited hours) , take the local train to the iwapara station and then a 4 min walk to the hotel (the train is about 1 per hour) or you can walk to the hotel (about 45min)"

Amenities (including robe for the onsen) were provided and there were vending machines easily accessible as well. Short walk to Yuzawa Station so it was very convenient. Compared to other properties in the area, it was nice to stay in a hotel with a private bathroom for only a slight price increase from hostel-style accommodations. Would recommend!"
