"Improvement areas for the property. More shade, and more loungers. Individuals get towels and reserve loungers but do not use them. Less upselling of excursions or next time stay. Several staff selling Spa, store shops are still aggressive to sell. If your coming to relax and are not phased by frequent pressure your good otherwise it can be annoying. Maybe other all inclusive run the same now. Unsure. However it is a smaller resort and easy access to amenities. Food is fantastic, drinks are great. Just get me some shade and cool the jets on the upsell. Pools are amazing!"

"We didn’t need cleaning everyday, we requested every other day and got fresh towels everyday. Staff was friendly and even friendly once tipped. No airport shuttle available from Las Americas. We requested laundry three times during our stay but only received the sheet the day before we left which was frustrating because we left at 4AM so our clothes would never be ready in time. We ended up leaving with a suitcase full of dirty clothes."

"I would recommend avoiding the buffet seafood, as it was not very fresh. The meat options were acceptable. I do not recommend the Mexican restaurant. I highly recommend Bavaro Coffee, and the French restaurant was very good, especially the desserts. The Mediterranean restaurant was not recommended. However, the restaurant next door to the Mediterranean restaurant is highly recommended due to its high-quality steak. Additionally, we experienced an issue one morning when there was no water in our hotel room."

"I’ve been to DR several times and this was the first time I stayed at this resort with my son for my niece’s birthday. The experience was terrible. We arrived to the resort early; at the time early check in was not an option which was fine. However, my sister wasn’t able to get into her room till way after the scheduled check in time. We came from NY with a small cake after calling to see if that was ok. The concierge on the phone let us know it was okay to bring the cake and that they would store it for us till it was needed. That was a lie! We got there and they gave us the run around until the cake finally melted and fell over which at that time they let my us know they don’t usually hold cakes because they sell their own. After that, they made us sign a waver and said they would keep the cake. In addition to that after checking in, you are told to go to guest services to let them know you have a birthday so that they can set up a character call for the birthday child and arrange for a birthday banner and cupcake to be delivered to the room. None of those things happened on my niece’s birthday until I finally raised hell and asked to speak to a manager. It all took place post convo with the manager towards the end of the day. To add onto the list of problems that occurred, they give you the run around when it comes to booking dinner reservations. There is no communication between all the staff that work there & even worst a lot of the staff are unfriendly. 0/10 recommend."

"Breathless was just what I needed to decompress and relax! The only hiccup I had were the mosquitos in my room, but once I made the front desk aware, they immediately sent someone to spray my room. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The spa was also beautiful and peaceful. Overall, the experience at Breathless exceeded all expectations. "

"Everything was above par. The only issue was a water problem which was quickly taken care of. There was so much hosptality that made u realize how much we'd like to come back again with friends."

"This was a great resort with gave us a lot of value for what we paid. For a family of 5, (3 teens 13,13, & 15), my wife and I and the kids had a great time. The staff is top notch with exceptional customer service. They are very hard workers and will meet your needs to help you with a simple request for a drink or helping you find your way. The rooms were very clean and very nice. We even had a little jacuzzi on the back patio. Our concierge was also a great help and helped us figure out little gifts for our family and making a reservation for Spice (overrated IMO). Save yourself the hassle and skip it. My wife and I also sat through the 1.5 hr presentation that they offered upon arrival and stuck to our "No" at the end to end up with "leisure cash" that we applied to the spa to get a couples massage. All in all, my kids loved the beach, endless supply of food and virgin drinks (pina coladas), pool with 4 slides ("splash zone"). We didn't pay extra for any excursions and felt like we still got our money's worth. There are always hourly activities going on and shows at the theater at night. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. "
