โItโs a lovely place to stay if you like walking a lot. Itโs a short drive to local places of interest. The hosts are lovely and very accommodating. The ladder up to the bedroom is quite a quirky feature. Overall itโs a lovely cosy base to explore from.โ
โExtremely professional and friendly staff, beautiful scenery however our bedroom had a spiders nest in the corner. Management did however resolve this issue and upgraded us which was lovely. Breakfast is delicious especially the strawberry jam definitely must try! โ
โWhile eating breakfast, I saw a woman allow her dog to defecate outside the window on the grass near the croquet lawn. I could not believe my eyes!! I think this was a guide dog being walked by a helper so perhaps not an experienced dog handler... ๐ค โ
โDated, but with enough charm to make this aspect fade into insignificance. Great area too - plenty of on-site parking, peaceful, and with fantastic views from the dining area.โ
โBeautiful place, with excellent staff.
We were unluckily because they celebrate weddings and we arrive with a wedding on-going.
The music was fine (not too loud) the guest were fine, normal noise for a wedding.
The kids fron the wedding were under our window, playing shouting and screaming (normal for kids) but it was very late night and very early morninig so we did not have too much rest.
We will come back but we will make sure is not a wedding day.โ
โVery historic building. As is most if tewkesbury. Nice room at back of hotel. Hot at the time, so room was stuffy which couldn't really be helped; fans were provided. Generally very quiet but some noise from kitchen. โ
