"We celebrated my wife's birthday with a high speed ferry trip from Muskegon to Milwaukee. We stayed at the Pfister. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We stayed on the historic side of the hotel. Rooms were beautiful, the staff most helpful, internal dining options outstanding and the amenities were top notch. Pool on the 23rd floor was a bonus. Location was perfect. Worth every penny. The experience was so nice that we stopped noticing that there were renovations going on....

"We needed to leave right at 730am and the valley was nowhere to be found. Luckily the nice man behind the desk gave us our keys. Also, I’d never pay $400/night again for that room. Lovely hotel but not worth $400"

"All the staff I met were helpful and welcoming. Parking was convenient. The room was clean and comfortable, with the exception that the building's external lights were directly outside my windows. The black out curtains didn't overlap so the room was pretty bright. Overall, great option with character right in downtown FDL. "

"It was just off of water so it had very nice viewing. Balcony provided excellent viewing. Walking to many restaurants around the downtown was a great feature."

"I was very impressed with this hotel. Great lobby, great pool, great rooms. My only complaint was the service at the coffee bar in the lobby. There was one worker and he was busy in the back preparing for an event. I had to wait up to 5-10 mins for him to serve me. He was very nice and it wasn’t his fault but they should had another server to reduce the wait."
