"Last minute booking at the end of a 6 day break travelling the west of Scotland. A very beautiful and unique hotel in a fantastic location, quiet and overlooking the water, but only 10 mins drive to Oban centre. Fantastic help on arrival by the reception and senior staff/manager to arrange a room with a bath and also late dining as we had been delayed getting there. "Why is it every time we visit Oban, there's a violent storm? We'd booked for two nights but on our day of travel Mathew phoned to advise all the roads were either flooded or blocked with landslips. We agreed to try travelling the following day, which we did - it was eventful and with many detours but got there. "Floors squeaked with every step. WiFi was only pay for city service. Kitchen floor had buckle d vinyl. Dishwasher would not open fully due to baseboard. No instructions for parking or equipment in flat, such as washer, Tzv, available overnight"

"Such a disappointment, the room was small and old fashioned. Very little space for two people, and damp in the atmosphere. Towels never dried and had to shower and air dry as gettibg dried with a cold damp towel was no fun. Check in security was pior, anyon can just walk in and pick up keys to a room , no staff around and when you rang the numbers for contact there was no answer from all three!"

"We had a great time in Melfort!. We love it, comfortable, clean, spacious, great option to stay with kids. There is a playground and swimming pool. As reception has specific hours open, they take care to send us a mail explaining how to access to our house if it was close. Beautiful the road to go to Melfort, one of the best ones in Scotland. .
