"We were staying as a family of four adults. The location was in a quiet area overlooking the sea in the distance. The accommodation was very specious, clean and well equipped. One bedroom had a small en suite shower and toilet. There was also a bath with overhead shower and toilet in a separate room. We used the apartment as a base, exploring the nearby beaches and villages. The owner had thought of everything to make guests feel comfortable. "Brilliant location for us and lovely interior of old country pub. I had booked a room which had a fridge which was a bonus. There were 4 pods on the site and hubbie said might have liked staying in one. After a disaterous glamping weekend in a bell tent, not the tent bring the problem but rowdy group in next tent I chose a room. Def going back when visiting again and will book a pod next time. Food was great as well and reasonable"

"I've given this a five star review because although the rooms are fairly basic, the staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, and the location is brilliant. You're a 5 minute walk from the beach and there's a bus route right outside the hotel that can take you direct to Penzance, Marazion and St Ives (and I'm sure elsewhere, but that's all we managed). It's also incredibly good value for money. So don't expect the Ritz but for what you pay this is a really great place to stay."

"I recently stayed at this hotel in St Ives and had a very disappointing experience. The room I was given did not match what was shown in the booking photos at all. It felt misleading and not worth the money. Cleanliness was a major issue — the room was not properly cleaned, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Basic services were also missing, and when I raised these concerns with the staff, there was little to no response or effort to resolve the situation. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and mismatch between the advertised and actual room made this a very negative experience. I would not recommend this hotel to others and strongly suggest future guests be cautious before booking."

"Staff were lovely, and the property is situated beautifully. However, the property itself needs extensive renovation. The rooms as very dated. The worst part though was how dirty the rooms were, and I mean filthy. All crumbs and think dust on outter edges of carpets. The soap dish in shower was think with black mould and old soap. There is also no aircon (you do get a fan) but the window barely opens and it is like a furnace at night, makes it extremely unpleasant. Only stayed there due to a wedding but would not stay again."
