“Tres décu par le site hotels.com Il n'y a aucune section sur l'application pour recevoir des messages. Je n'ai reçu aucune notification comme quoi l'hôte avait envoyé des messages. Cela ne passe que par des emails et ce jour-là il y avait une panne informatique mondiale, dont une panne avec mes emails. Je n'ai donc jamais reçu la procédure à suivre. Cest en arrivant le soir devant la maison qu'on s'est rendu compte qu'il y avait une boite à clef mais nous n'avions pas le code ! Au bout d'1h...

“Lovely well equipped property with large rooms and stunning views of the countryside surrounding. Friendly hosts, good parking, WiFi etc, making a perfect base. Hoping to find an excuse to stay there again soon!”

“The hotel was super as usual. The menu in the restaurant however was limited. I would have liked to see a cold option in this heat wave. I did have to phone down to reception at 01:30 due to a party going on in a room next door. It was however dealt with swiftly and this was outwith the hotels control. Room was clean, good selection of tea's in the room with nice biscuits and hot chocolate too. Staff were professional and helpful.”

“Wonderful location. Made everything so easy. Our only complaint is that parking was additional cost. This didn't seem to be the case everywhere, and there was plenty of parking to be had. Honestly, I'd rather have the parking cost built into the cost of the room than feeling like I'm being nickel and dimed by having to pay extra for parking. But everything else was fantastic.”

“Close to university but amenities were not good. The vending machine was not working and even they did not have bottle water at bar.”

“It is convenient to park your car at this inn. Highland Gate is not the inn but the the restaurant. The Highland Gate restaurant and Marton's Inn are in two separate buildings. The inn's outside apearance and inside conditions are quite mediocre: carpet in the hallway looks dirty at every entrance to the room; there is no rack or shelve for suitcases though the room size is decent; the bathroom has a peculiar smell (not stinky but unpleasant to me), and the double bed (made of two single beds)...
