“I read a lot of reviews prior to booking ! I’ve visited the Stanley 10 years ago and then again this week. So here are my thoughts. We enjoyed it , the staff was excellent.. Stayed at the Lodge , small no frills room. But , so what .. It’s a historic hotel ,.. It’s charming.. Door stays unlocked , no security , people are free to come in and out .. It’s located next to the Main Hotel .. With that being said , Yes.. there’s a lot construction but it didn’t bother us .. The main hotel is...

“Room was not properly cleaned. Dust on furniture. Seemed they were not dusted for weeks. Coffee maker wasn’t cleaned. Old coffee pod was still in the coffee maker. Part of the curtains were off the rails. Old razor was still in the shower from previous guests . The place needs serious upgrading. Only pro was that the front desk staff were nice.”

“The staff are very friendly and helpful. The property is on the older side. However it is clean and well maintained. The bed is on the firmer side. Our room did not have good lighting over by the TV. A lamp in that area would help.”

“Rustic 2 bedroom cabin. It was clean. The bedrooms were comfortable. Bathroom adequate. Kitchen area was clean but poorly supplied example 1 cereal bowl, eating utensils were old and limited. Kitchen table scratched and had to be from the 1960's. Living area furniture was poor, the futon was so uncomfortable to sit on, can't image what it would be like to sleep on. “Excellent stay in every way. We were there for more than a week. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Nice room nice hot tub great staff great continental breakfast. Can’t recommend it highly enough.”

“I didn't get a chance to like my room or even see it as someone from the outpost sold my room to someone else! I checked in late. Bc I was at my daughter's wedding but I Still got checked in be the before it was too late. I confirmed and went to the sister hotel to pick up my key. The night clerk had my key and went to do something on the computer and the PERSON at the Outpost didn't look to see that I had confirmed so he gave my room to someone else. This of course is after I paid for the room....

“Exceeded our expectations.”

“We had a King Studio on River #11a. The description states “riverfront patio, fall asleep to the sound of Fall River” (see attached picture of their description) We had to go around the bldg to see river. The patio is in front. Kudos for cleanliness, even though there was a bit of a musty smell at first but seemed to disappear by the next day. The windows were all covered with shades but shades were on outside of window frame so didn’t cover sides completely, felt a bit wierd.”
