“There is an air of faded glamour about the Orton Hall Hotel, the facilities were clean and the staff lovely. Breakfast very good”

“Very disappointed. We had to hunt for someone to check us in on arrival. The restaurant was only open one evening of our stay. The food was disappointing and we waited for an hour one evening for bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, olives and a cheese board. We were there from Saturday till Friday morning. The room was clean but the beds were small and bedding only just covered the top of the bed. At the pool I was told to get my towel from my room otherwise I would have to pay....

“The "hotel" in some respects was reasonable (vehicle parking, visual appearance, and the room itself), but did not justify the name of hotel. The property offered no facilities for an evening meal (and even the nearest dining facilities {more than half a mile away} was closing down at the end of the day we were there and only offered a limited menu on that day). When asking what time breakfast was served there was some doubt whether it was served at all. They then stated that breakfast would be...

“The history and outside appearance of the inn was impressive, unfortunatley the rooms definately did not have the wow factor for me. The Oundle suite bathroom was very tired in terms of furniture and building. The shower looked filthy and I didnt want to use it. It wouldnt take much to improve by cleaning the grout and re plastering. We paid £612 for a 3 night stay but the standard of the rooms do not reflect this price. The service was also not great, the first night there it took 20 mins to...

“Perfect for me. Easy check in and out process.”

“The room was on the small side and needs redecorating as its old and tired. Landlord very helpful with a complementary glass of wine. Parking was great and in a brilliant location only 5 mins walk into the centre. Plenty tea and coffee and breakfast items in the fridge. If the room was a bit more upto date and brighter then it would have been perfect.”

“Está muy bien y el desayuno muy rico”

“Beautiful hotel with a very nice breakfast and very attentive and friendly staff.”

“The hotel is lovely. We stayed in a classic double room which was perfect. All of the staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was perfect.”

“Really appreciated being able to check in late having had to travel to Peterborough because of NATs issue. The gentleman on reception also leant us a charger”
