"The room was clean, staff was helpful and breakfast was what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel.
There's a paid parking lot right next to the hotel. A lot of shady characters around. One guy was passed out right there and there were other homeless and drunk folk loitering around. The hotel itself is at the end of the road and the staff mentioned that even they don't venture out in the other direction. If you're on a budget you could stay here but if you can afford a better place, you can find places to stay in better areas.
Proximity to the river walk isn't a perk exclusive to the hotel, the whole town is along the river walk, so just pick any place and you'd be by the river walk.
This place is just a block away from Alamo, though and other touristy places though."
