During the hottest month of June, we were barely able to sleep at night because of how hot it was. The owner did not help with this and kept informing us that someone would come to fix it but never did. The front desk girl Marie was very kind and the breakfast was great. If the AC worked or was fixed during our stay it would be 5 stars. "

Hotel La Pergola

"My best friend and I stayed here for 6 days, and didn’t want to leave. It’s up above the Mediterranean with a beautiful view! The bus comes by about every 30 minutes and can take you into the main part of town within 10 minutes, or to other places along the Amalfi coast for a very small price. Breakfast is free with a variety of choices. Nightly dining is available on the rooftop terrace and the food is excellent. Private balconies, breathtaking views, and one can stroll through the lemon groves on the property. Excellent service, professional and friendly staff, very nice rooms with refrigerators and air conditioning. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is quiet, Just a beautifully maintained historical property. I give it 5 stars. We’ll be back."

Grand Hotel Excelsior Amalfi

"A absolute MUST stay in Amalfi. I’ve been once before and found this hotel last minute and it exceeded ALL expectations!
Location: I was hesitant at first as being in the hills can be challenging to get around however, the shuttle service they offered was really easy and 10 mins to the Amalfi town centre. Also, the view from every part of the grounds and our room was absolutely breathtaking all hours of the day.
Room: Updated and brand new inside the rooms. The rooms come with a tablet that allows you to book the shuttle, order room service, etc.
Amenities: The daily breakfast offered a wide range of delicious food. Had dinner once (on our last night) and it was quick and was very good. The private beach club was very convenient and the shuttle takes you directly there. The cost of food/drinks was very reasonable for being such an isolated gorgeous location.
Staff: beyond professional and VERY attentive. They remembered our names and made the entire experience very memorable.
Overall, we will be coming back to this hotel hands down.

"Get away from downtown Amalfi for a great experience! On site restaurant was clearly a favorite of locals also and the service was fantastic the whole time. Breakfast everyday was filling and nicely curated. Convenient to bus stop to get into Amalfi or to Positano/Sorrento. Alessi and the whole team was wonderful, highly recommend and would go back."

"That was probably the best hotel that I booked. Though it looks near Amalfi and other beaches, the road is quite long going there. Due to it’s high altitude, I had an amazing sunrise at 6:15am ABOVE THE CLOUDS! How unexpected and epic was that!!! "

"Solaria is a wonderful place to experience the beauty and hospitality of Amalfi. It is first class. Specifically Emilio and Angela have created a beautiful bed and breakfast on the Amalfi hills full of gardens, comfortable beds, clean, airy and serene. The pool felt so good in the warm sun. Angela and her assistant are exceptional cooks- breakfast is delicious with the freshest of Italian ingredients. Solaria provided us a free shuttle to downtown Amalfi for shopping and any sea excursion we desired. Emilo and Angela are attentive to their guests needs but allow for privacy as well. They are excellent hosts. Close by is a delicious restaurant, El Niño, and the owner will drive you there and back. We highly recommend staying at Solaria and hope to return again in the years to come. Blessings always to Solaria. "
