“Staff were all really nice, especially Ava our waitress. She went above and beyond. However there were a couple of waiters who did disappoint us. One forgot to put our breakfast order through, although he did apologise to us. The other one just seemed to ignore us and I had to go and ask at reception for a menu. Reception staff were all very friendly and polite. Overall would definitely go back there again ”

They had ideas and suggestions of where to go and what to do and very much gave a homely feeling to our stay. The breakfast was delicious. They made a full English breakfast both days to order whilst also having a selection of different cereals, fruits and pastries. “The public rooms were in good condition but rather dated, reflecting the hotel's ostentatious history. The corridors and fire doors to the rooms were in poor condition, some damaged paint, wallpaper and carpet. The room was small and dated but clean with plenty of storage. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast offered a great choice. Whilst it is becoming increasingly common, as a hotel guest, I don't like paying extra to park my car.”

“What a lovely place! Spotless, well appointed room with simple, fresh decor. Bathroom also nicely done, with fabulous fluffy towels. Breakfast was super tasty with a great selection of options. And the hosts are really lovely; helpful and friendly without being overly attentive. Not far from either Torquay and Torre stations so great for those not using a car, though parking was also available. Highly recommend and will be staying again next time I’m down in Torquay.”
