โWas very brief overnight stay during a business conference. Very clean, nice fluffy towels, cute room. Due to early checkout, I was not able to experience the breakfast, so the staff gave me a nice little take out package. โ
โThe room was very nice and the staff were all very helpful.
The only small negatives were the TV was mounted at an angle and the bathroom countertops were very lowโ
โCheck in was easy, the cabin was clean and comfortable, and the overall area was quiet and peaceful. The ability to have a small campfire was a welcome bonus.โ
โThe hotel is lovely. By their own admission the owners have a notice saying excuse us whilst we renovate. The lodge was fine, we didnโt really notice it wanted much done. The car park was plenty, the room was spacious and comfy. Great views out the back. Convenient for the area, we really liked it. โ
โReally nice property and very helpful staff. Area around the hotel is pretty, with lots of places to sit and watch the geese. Rooms are okay--be sure to get a "suite" or a double, as the single rooms are very small. Bathing facilities are pretty rudimentary--could use a shower seat or a bathtub. "Breakfast" is weak coffee and orange or apple juice.โ
โAs always, when in this area of CT. I stay at the Lamplighter. Close to the highway, easy walking distance to numerous restaurants. Always very clean, everything works and i did notice the new beds in my room, which were super comfortable. Extremely nice rooms for the price, with fridge and microwave. Shower, instant hot water and plenty of it. I love staying at the Lamplighter. โ
