Staff were over worked and doing multiple jobs as best as they could and as quickly as they good. Tending bar, taking orders, waiting on tables - just one person! They really struggled at breakfast with a coach party all coming down to eat at the same time and only two waitresses and one chef to handle everything. โWe loved the history of the property. Our booking was very last minute since we were let down by another hotel. The Lakeside Hotel and Spa is very clean, you can feel the warmth when you walk into the property. Overall it was a good experience. The one thing i did noticed is you have to book your table for dinner every night otherwise you end up without a sit-in dinning. โGreat location for exploring the lakes. Staff are chatty and friendly which made me feel at ease as a solo traveller. Excellent meal in the evening and breakfast. Will stay again. โ
