"This is the only place anyone needs to stay while in NOLA. The Ritz may be nicer by some estimation but it's too modern and more expensive. The Monteleone is warm and traditional. Frank Sinatra loved it. And if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me. "

"This outstanding hotel checked all the boxes. Our entire experience was simply excellent. From the welcoming valet (Fahren) who made an extra trip to my car to retrieve my charger, to James the bellhop who knows just what to say to calm travel nerves, to Navaja at the front desk who took care of our every need. I know I have butchered their names but I couldn’t ignore their outstanding performances. This hotel is a great hotel not just because of the architecture and history but the staff makes ALL the difference!!! The pool was beautiful and welcoming. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The building is old so there are plumbing issues but that’s not the fault of the hotel. Our room was surprisingly quiet for the French Quarter especially when you factor in the close proximity to Burbon street. If you’re wondering if you should choose this hotel don’t hesitate and book it!!!"

"Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly. Concierge was helpful when we had need of something. Rooms are spacious but a little worn down (black stains on the corner of the shower, pink stains on the bathroom walls). Bed sheets had some stains on them and our room wasn't cleaned on a cleaning day. Location was just outside of the hustle and bustle of Bourbon St but close enough to walk everywhere. "

"Great staff, very clean, nice rooms and its perfect location to everything. The restaurant is very very slow. You will wait 20 minutes before you get a cup of water. Food is good but more workers are needed. "

"I was surprised when we pulled up to the hotel, it felt very isolated from any type of district or neighborhood. It didn’t feel walkable to anything, but if you walk three blocks south you’ll find Feret street and plenty of interesting restaurants and businesses. The location was very convenient for our quick stopover to visit a friend at Tulane. The staff was always quick to welcome us as we passed through the lobby and we enjoyed the midcentury vibe. I don’t know that I would’ve used the pool as it was tucked behind the building and the building mechanicals and surrounded by the medical center buildings. Same for the balconies, you’re not going to be looking at anything other than the medical buildings or the parking lot. The room had a slight odor from the hvac unit. All of this to say, that for the 12 hours we stayed, it was everything we needed. Free parking allowed us to constantly come and go in our car and the proximity to the hwy allowed us to get a quick start on our 12 hour drive home."

"The concierge, Roxie McCovins is top shelf, very helpful and attentive to all our questions. She really does go above and beyond! Be ready for parking if you drive in, it is an extra $50+ a day to park in the hotel parking structure which to me seemed like they are milking the guests. No help from hotel just park and pay. Ok first to park in the hotel parking structure should be part of the hotel stay cost and not extra and second the parking payment should be included in the bill and not make you stand out in the parking lot downloading a QR code and paying the fee every day of the stay. No option we could find to pay all days at once just day by day so you have to remember to do that every day or they will boot your vehicle. A place as nice as the Westin should have a system that is better than this! The staff and rooms were all very good and what you would expect from them. The location is excellent and the shopping and view are great. Expedia might mention the parking thing above as when you are booking whatever you’re thinking is the cost if driving in it is $50+ more than the booking fee says. They also charge a post tax fee of $30 a day. So the final hotel bill is going to be around $100 a day more than the Expedia booking daily cost is. So overall very good place to stay but the management does nickel-and-dime you and seems like the exception is most will fly in so the drive in people are not enough to bother with. "
