“It’s a nice small inn for staying a couple of nights. The room must be recently renovated with a nice bathroom. The only surprise was that I booked with breakfast but the hotel only provided a simple breakfast ; coffee and toast. Otherwise you need to pay extra. I wish they stayed more information on their booking information regarding the breakfast options. To me it’s a little bit too cheap for them to operate their business in this way.”

“Booked last minute, location fantastic, central with parking. Room was lovely, very comfortable bed. Owner Helen took the time to tell us about the building and all the renovations that have been done and ongoing. The public areas are beautiful, mix of old and new, really suits the place itself, all the staff were very friendly and gave us tips on where to eat out. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend a visit. We look forward to a very warm welcome in the future. 😊”

“Food was good, I had one of my favourite meals ham, eggs and chips 😋. Cooked Breakfast, toast, orange juice and cereal available. Room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, I was overlooking the main road but it got really quiet around 11,pm and I slept like a log. Would recommend, good for the price.”

“I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). ”

“This was our first time staying at a hotel that wasn't staffed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The accommodations were very modern. Plenty of hot water. Easy access to both train and bus stations. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants and grocery stores. Quiet. We didn't hear street noise. Stairs are steep, as others have noted. “What a fantastic B&B, free parking right behind if you are lucky. The accommodation was lovely, the rooms are brilliant, our room (right at the top) was boutique style with a nice big bath in the room, great views out of the windows.
