"Was good "

"Stayed with the family on a quick couple of nights trip. Pretty typical for a beach hotel. For the most part it was in pretty good shape. Overall, the breakfast was pretty good. There’s a gem and a laundromat. Kids enjoyed the pool and a large hot tub. We arrived at the first night pretty late, but still found that there was good parking. All the staff was very friendly and accommodating. On our last day, we were running a little late and they even gave us a couple of extra hours for a late checkout. All in all, I would definitely stay at this property again."

"Not cool that the over head light was broken and couldn’t turn off. Paint peeling in the shower. They switched us to a lower level. No beach view AT ALL. If you want to see or hear waves Go someWHERE ELSE."

"The room was quite dated and run down. The carpet needed vacuuming and the bathroom could use a good scrubbing. I chose this hotel because it advertised long term free parking for cruise guests. I also called and confirmed what the website said. When we got there I was told that it would cost $10 per day to park which would be $80 for our cruise stay. That also said a free breakfast was provided. All that was on the breakfast was cold cereal, toast, apples, and a diy waffle. They also advertised shuttle service to the cruise line port. I was told that it was not available until sometime in April. We were cruising in early March. All in all, the hotel was sufficient for us only because of its proximity to the port. We had to call an independent shuttle service. I would only stay there again in a pinch. "

"The staff upon arrival was not friendly nor helpful. The breakfast the next morning was very sparse and there was no silverware to be found and had to find someone to help since there was no kitchen staff available "

"We stayed at Clarion Pointe Galveston and had a mix of positives and frustrations. The location was great, parking was convenient, breakfast was very good, the waffle makers were fun, the coffee was excellent, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. The floors in our room, both hard floors and carpet, were extremely dirty. Our feet and socks kept getting filthy, and we ended up wiping the floors ourselves with towels. We also saw messes in the walkways that were not cleaned up promptly. The stairwells were dirty, and one elevator was out of order. We appreciated that the hotel offers a laundromat, but it was not very user-friendly. There is no change machine or detergent dispenser, and the machines only take quarters, which was never explained. I had to make multiple trips to the front desk, and one dryer was out of order. Communication needs improvement. We were never told about the outdoor shower, which would have helped a lot after the beach. It took over five hours to receive fresh towels after requesting them. The hairdryer was very weak, and the alarm clock was unusable and was also the only place with USB ports. There were no privacy curtains, only blackout curtains. On our last day, even though we had a confirmed late checkout, staff knocked loudly twice before our checkout time, which was very uncomfortable. Overall, the hotel has potential, but cleanliness and communication need significant improvement."
