“I was impressed with the Maitai Express. Coming to Tahiti I had stayed in a different airport hotel and was extremely disappointed. “We booked the family suite, but after seeing it, and after the bad start to our stay, we left. Check in time was identified as 1pm. we arrived at 230, and were told that it wasnt ready. So, we sat for about half an hour. The family suite appeared to actually be a storage room, because it had a bunch of junk stored in it off to the side including an old mattress that wasnt being used, and a bunch of unhung paintings. “The room and property are nice but it is absolutely the WORST internet connection- constantly disconnecting and sometimes had to sit outside my room on the porch- which I didn’t always want to do- in order to have a consistent signal. Very annoying. Breakfast buffet of $36 USD very over-priced for what it is. $20 USD would even be too much, but more reasonable. ”

They seem to have a fair number of animals - besides a couple of dogs and a cat, I definitely heard a rooster as well. So it could be a little disruptive overnight when you're trying to sleep if you're not used to that sort of thing.”
