"It was very confusing to determine where to park and how to get to the Pousada, as no cars are allowed. Once we figured that out, a van picked us up in the designated place and took us to the top of the village to the reception area for the hotel. There are a lot of stairs, so not a good place for those with mobility issues. The room was very cozy and the staff were very friendly. "We crashed at the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes mid-afternoon after a morning exploring Guimaraes. We were almost at the end of our two-plus week trek. We were ready for down time. We spent a lovely afternoon walking the grounds, swimming in the beautiful pool [allowed though the pool wasn't yet officially open], having drinks on the terrace, and having dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was a delight."
