"Big clean room and staff were mostly friendly. Nice bathroom amenities. Great location by delicious local restaurants and close enough to the action to keep taxis cheap, but far enough away to be quiet at night. Bed and pillows were super hard and difficult to sleep on. Cigarette smoke would waft in if we opened windows, but air conditioning didn’t seem to be working so we needed to do so."

"Place was super cute, bed was comfortable and nice to have a safe in the room when travelling. Walls are thin but the charm of an old building. Only negatives would be the struggle to get ahold of anyone. Messaged the hotel multiple times with no response so we stayed a week and didn’t get any fresh towels, and when we checked in they didn’t have bath towels so the few towels we had were small. "

"I booked this hotel for its location to the Vatican and wasn’t disappointed. It was literally a 5 minute walk from St Peter’s Square. Castel Sant’Angelo is maximum of a 10 minute walk away and this is at a leisurely stroll! There are lots of cafes bars and shops around the hotel and there is a bus stop directly outside the door that takes you anywhere in Rome for €1.50. I used the bus twice- bus 81 to the Colosseum and bus 280 to The Knights of Malta keyhole. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and cheerful which makes all the difference as a solo traveller. I was disappointed that the roof terrace/bar was closed and had been since COVID as this was one of the attractions when booking this accommodation and is still a selling point on Expedia. However there is a very good bar directly below the hotel which I used for my nightly aperitivo instead! The accommodation itself was fine although a little tired looking. However I must stress how clean it was even though it was ready for a refresh which I believe is happening soon due to the sign in the lift. I would definitely recommend a stay if visiting the Vatican"
