“Pleasant courteous staff, extremely clean and comfortable rooms and bar / restaurant areas.”

“We received a friendly welcome on arrival and our room was spacious, very clean and styled in a contemporary way. The bathroom fittings were new and had very good lighting. Breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed our stay very much. ”

“This was a beautiful hotel! It is a historic building so it has it’s quirks but it was neat to stay here! The staff was friendly and this one included the free breakfast. The only thing I would caution is the room was a long way through a maze of stairs and corridors so if you brought múltiple suitcases and have a car then plan ahead and only take what you will need and be wearing the next day in your smaller case otherwise this place was fantastic! I think they may have offered to help with...

“Lovely hotel, cosy comfortable bar, good restaurant. Every area was well kept and clean. Friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Plenty of parking.”

“Just stayed one night on the way to Edinburgh and it was great! Our room (in the old school house behind the pub) was small but had everything we needed including a very comfortable bed. We had dinner in the pub and the food was fantastic (and great "desert cocktail" too!) Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Excellent stop off!”

“Was greeted like a long lost friend at checkx In. The owner introduced himself and asked if everything was all right.Enough said.”

“The room was clean. Their were no staff. There was a self check in / check out procedure which was easy to follow. Other more regular guests were helpful. There was tea/coffee facilities in room. Kitchen facilities meant food I'd brought could be prepared. Enjoyable stay.”
