โExcellent service. Design of rooms was very attractive, not something youโd expect from a motel. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was yummy and plentiful. People setting out and maintaining breakfast were very friendly and solicitous. Beautiful grounds.โ
โSuch a cute hotel with friendly & welcoming staff. Very clean. Close to a few restaurants and a short drive or long walk into town. Just stayed for a night as part of a road trip but we loved the area and definitely want to come back. โ
โI enjoyed the large bed in our room, the view of a mountain from the patio and the comfort of the reading room. The breakfast was good too. I wish that they had served bacon along with the eggs but the variety of items was nice. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. โ
โWe love historic properties, so this one fit the bill. Many films made at this location, and the rooms are all labeled with which famous people have stayed in them. Beautiful old hotel. You have to be okay with creaky floors and a bit of dustiness (It's 140 years old).
The only problem is the restaurant. It opened late and closed early, so we never got to try it. There's almost nothing open on a Sunday evening in Las Vegas, NM, so that's an issue. Restaurant staff (understaffed) arrived late to...
โThe place has a special meaning for guests visiting neighboring Philmont Scout Ranch but it will be a welcomed getaway for anyone seeking a nature themed Western getaway. The inn keepers were welcoming and courteous. The family table home made breakfast was a highlight of the stay. The rooms were down to earth luxurious . โ
โBeautiful spot, close enough to town but still has a quiet out in the country feel. Our room has a small โpatioโ in back where we enjoy sitting to read or look at the sky. Breakfast was delicious and the host is very helpful. Will come back!โ
โCheck in and check out were completely remote and extremely easy and convenient.
Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Wifi was fast, water pressure was good, parking easy. They also had a lovely little outdoor area to sit in. I would highly recommend stepping out at night to see the stars - we could see the entire milky way from the parking lot.
The only little thing was that the A/C remote was a little hard to use.

โI only stayed for a day but it was a stay to remember. The check in time was later than Iโm used to but you have your own parking spot reserved with your room, you walk though a beautiful garden to get to the room, we reserved the storyteller suite, so our view faces the setting sun which was gorgeous.
We didnโt need to talk to anyone because of the contactless check in which was very convenient and hassle free.
The room itself was beautifully decorated and clean, the bathroom was also very...
