Annalong, Newry hotel rooms at the Independent

"Rostrevor was the first place my traveling companion arrived and the staff was amazing. Bart & Deidra run that place. First ones in the morning, last ones at night closing the place with a smile in their faces. The bar was amazing with good music, we loved being so close to other places to explore, walk & have a coffee! "

"Hotel is in a great location and has good facilities but it looking a little tired in places notably around the pool and spa area. Breakfast was good but some of the cooked items could have been better. I booked a double double room for our family night away. Checked in and was given room 111 which was an unpleasant dark and cramped accessible room, windows were covered in frosted glass so you could not see out as it overlooked a utility courtyard. Not at all what I would have expected from a luxury hotel. We did return to reception to discuss room options and were eventually moved to a more suitable room but this seemed to luck that there were any rooms suitable for 4 of us left. Would think of going back again but would be seriously concerned we could end up in a sub standard room."

"Lovely modern spacious apartment in an ideal central city centre location! Close to all amenities including eateries and entertainment. The apartment was very clean, tidy and well serviced with lots of home comforts like tea, coffee and biscuits but perfect facilities to cook and to wash/iron clothes. Great stay visiting family - would definitely recommend!! "
