“Very friendly and helpful from greeting to goodbyes! Large clean room with numerous amenities. If it had been a little warmer, we would have loved sitting outside on little porch or in the garden. Good breakfast too!”

“Old period building with old beams running throughout. Very comfortable bed with lovely soft feathered pillows & duvet. Shower wonderful.”

“Our hosts were very welcoming, helpful and interesting. They were both naturelovers and the garden was full of plants and shrubs and they had a menagerie of all sorts of birds running freely in their field.”

“Stayed for one night only and what a welcome we had ! Absolutely brilliant hosts, Ellie and Rexy made us feel so much at home. Beautiful house and spotless, amazingly comfortable bed. We were visiting a circus at Bowood house and asked for info on taxis, advised it may be difficult to get a return taxi, but no problem we'll take you there and pick you up...!!! Just fantastic. On our return we invited our hosts to join us for a drink at the local... on arrival at the Lansdown about 9.pm advised...

“Beautiful little place, Ideally located near to shops,pubs,restaurants,etc. The flat is small but just right for a couple with perhaps one child It was clean throughout and well equipped with wahing machine, fridge,Microwave and cooker. The only tging we would say it needs are slightly better heaters, although they do just about heat tje propert to a bearable temp”

“Excellent old manor. We stayed in Mrs Smith's room. Which used to be the owners room. Plenty of space, large bay window overlooking the garden and old church behind the property. Clean and welcoming. Bathroom was large and clean with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, the best scrambled eggs I've ever had in my life. A must try for any yankee visiting from the US. Eggs are much better in England than the US. Staff was quite welcoming and friendly. There are a couple of walking trails...

“Great service and very nice room. Dinner was excellent and the staff could not have been more helpful. The only downside (and it was quite a downside) is that our room was above the kitchen and the door was on an automatic closer which meant it slammed every time it shut. And this started at about 7.00 in the morning....”

“Very nice flat that is clean and spacious. Only issue is counter next to sink traps water in a pool that soaks everything on it. Room could also use a coffee maker. You also get to use the gym/pool next door and get a discount at the cafe there!”
