“Restaurant excellent”

“The room was very well appointed and modern. However there was a random pill (Advil?) on the floor in the middle of the carpet when we walked in. The walls really desperately need paint. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The room had AC which was excellent! Where the property does not do well is the restaurant where basic instructions like needing to order from the bar are not given. More confusing was that if you wanted dessert, you ordered that from the table. Staff never checked in on food...

“The tv in the room didn’t work and the room was very hot, but the helpfulness of the staff with a different issue more than made up for it! The room was spacious and clean, and the very reasonably priced vending machine in the corridor was useful given there are no other food options at the hotel. The location is central with a big car park nearby, just make sure to pre-book taxis if you need one.”

“A fabulous pub / hotel! The staff were super friendly but very professional. The room we had was exceptional - a family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds (one of which housed our adult daughter without any problem). The new interior decorations were gorgeous - Pooky lights, artwork on the walls and corridors etc. Breakfast was magnificent (full vegetarian) and the bar in the evening was great with good choice of drinks and background music at the right level. “Bankes arms!! First of all, I am not good at English, so I am not sure if the meaning will be conveyed well. Because of the connection with other itineraries, I could only plan the itinerary for one night at corfe castle, but it gave me regret that I was only just able to stay for one night. If I stayed for 2-3 nights, I would have added to the flavor of the trip by drinking beer or tea in the garden while looking at the wonderful view, steam train, and castle. “We really enjoyed our 5 day stay at the Hotel, our standard room was of a very generous size, much bigger than a lot of hotels which was very pleasing. The Hotel throughout was spotlessly clean, and the food was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and the cost was very reasonable, there was always plenty of parking spaces in the car park, and we will definitely visits again, the Hotel exceeded our expectations.”

Bathroom, Shower, bed, wardrobe, kettle with tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Food and bar was available if required. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay. Would return.”

“Great rural location (i am not a golfer), really nice room, clean and comfortable and reasonably stylish. Only let downs were; paper thin walls so could hear quiet conversations in the adjacent rooms, and a noisy shower (neighbour showered at 1am!). it was a heatwave; room fans were provided but it would have been good to fully ventilate the rooms. Due to work commitments i had to leave before breakfast so can't comment on that.”
