“We booked here last minute, and what a wonderful choice. The staff were simply incredible and really friendly. We came in a little early to see if we could check in early, and within 15 minutes we were sorted. The bar staff were great, we didn't have to wait for service and drinks and again really helpful and friendly. The room we stayed in was perfect! “Beautiful room. Bathroom was a Wet Room very useful for limited mobility and ease of showering. Nice toiletries. (No tissues though. That’s the only negative). Food was ok. Garden was amazing. Breakfast was first class with good quality ingredients served by 2 very friendly happy ladies. Sean & Chris were very welcoming. Overall a great find will def be back. Lesley & Mike”

“Great little budget option in a beautiful little village. We walked into Brighton for a festival and whilst not hugely far (about 12k to Preston), there was a beast of a hill on the route - fun in itself but it was very hot! The pub looked great and the cafe had excellent pastries and cakes which we fortified ourselves with before our walk. We had our own bathroom which was a surprise (even though it was a tiny walk away) and everything was clean and tidy. Point to note - whilst there's not...

“The room was lovely. We couldn't open 2 of the windows so it was an incredibly stuffy night. There was a fan provided but opening the windows would have been a better option. A small thing really.”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

“Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”
