"I love this hotel. I've stayed here multiple times on business and intend to stay more. The rooms are clean & fresh. Check-in is easy. Staff are kind, helpful, & responsive. The location is excellent-- so close to the ocean, and it overlooks a park. I've stayed at a bunch of less expensive hotels in Brighton and this is my favourite. Thank you!"
"I had a really high expectation for my stay at the Harbour hotel and spa, particularly as I paid a higher than normal price for the room and the stay period.
The overall experience was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly, however there were a few things that were quite disappointing.
The breakfast was underwhelming and, for what I paid for, did not meet expectation.
I thought there would be a full English breakfast buffet but it was just a small set meal.
The room was nice and cosy but I found a lot of dust and dirt. Places like the radiator, the room appliances and a lot of collected dirt and dust in the bathroom air fan.
There was no room phone as this would have been handy to call reception and room service.
The spa and gym amenitites were good.
The bubbling bathtubs in the dungeon area of the spa were out of order which was unfortunate as this was one of the main things I was looking forward to using.
The swimming pool was okay and I enjoyed the jacuzzi, wet room and sauna.
Overall, my experience of my hotel stay was good, not quite amazing as I had wanted it to be."
"We usually stay here when in Brighton. There are hotels closer to the centre but Brighton is pretty small and the hotel is very nice - especially the sea view rooms. The place seems to have recently had a facelift. Good selection at breakfast and the light bites in the bar are good with quick service."
"Lovely large sea view room that was nicely decorated and had a super king bed and bath and shower .
Very high ceilings and large full height windows gave an excellent sea view.
The only downside was noisy traffic outside but ok if you use earplugs ."
"I booked 3 rooms. At check in 1 of the rooms had not been cleaned. There were viagra tablets left on bedside cabinet, wine bottles in the bin and bed had not been made. Staff were extremely apologetic and instantly provided a new room. There were no problems with the other 2 rooms. They were all clean and the location perfect for the seafront and Brighton Lanes. Despite the problem with the room not being cleaned I would definitely rebook again"
"Booked 2 rooms one for us and one for our son who is now 18 and does not want to share his room was huge clean tidy and my son loved his stay
We had a normal size double that was lovely the only downside is I’m disabled
And getting in and out as there is not much turning space
The lifts are there just not the room for turning."
"Good location in Brighton near all the local spots.
Air con situation was a pain, we called to check the room had air con before booking they said yes so we booked then got to the hotel and were put in a non air con room. We asked to move to an air con room and they moved us so had no idea why they didn’t put us in that room in the first place. I wouldn’t book here again as clearly can’t rely on whether you will get an air con room or not.
Everything else was good apart from this situation but it is off putting."
