“Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Water taxi to Charleston was great”

“Everything was nice. Everything looked clean but our bed sheets had blood on them from the previous occupants. It was on the side by the wall on the edge. Not easily seen. Obviously they were not changed after the last people checked out.”

“Very nice stay - great accommodations and close to everything”

“They’re outside areas, including the pool and the back deck area were absolutely beautifully done and very comfortable and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we were happy to see that they actually had housekeeping come to the room every day and replenish supplies and make the bed which sadly has become a rarity in hotels these days. They were great about an early check-in and holding our luggage as we had a later flight out. The only thing I think they need to improve is the menu...

“We had an issue with a lamp and the phone didn’t work. The main light switch was loose so they taped it until repairs cound be made.”

“We loved the hotel. Small, intimate with a great location. Staff was very friendly and the place was clean throughout. Would def stay here again.”

“The Venue met all of my expectations above and beyond. When I arrived I was greeted with a glass of champagne by Caroline and Harvey. They were such a delight, by paying attention to every single detail to making our stay perfect. The rooms were spectacular! The hotel decor is amazing with beautiful art works where ever you look. Alison the hotel art director took us on a tour while explaining in detail about the various artists. I can not say enough about this upscale stunning boutique...

“a nice hotel, but the breakfast was quite disappointing..a paper box with a sugary muffin, a sour fruit cup, and a tiny cup of orange juice. not thoughtful or satisfying. To make matters worse, getting this breakfast required scanning a QR code, visiting a third party website, and entering my personal information just to make a reservation. Honestly, it might have been better not to offer anything at all. No one would expect to go through this much trouble just to get such a mediocre breakfast...

“The staff was very welcoming to our large dog and made us feel very comfortable.”

“It is a perfect place to be, close to the beach, beside the best restaurant ever. Breakfast was ok Cleaning was good, Maintenence is ok, it is an old building, looks old Super convenient for a family,”

“Great place to stay. Large rooms and very clean”

“Great room with view of harbor and fountain. Excellent happy hour wine and cheese and the breakfast was terrific. The staff was helpful and polite. Rooms were clean and roomy. We had small maintenance issue but it was repaired very quickly. We will go back.”

“Location of this property is good for tours, museum and music hall. We actually did not see much staff just on check in and check out. Breakfast is the saving grace for this hotel. I booked based on Expedia's amenities, which were false. There was no restaurant, no room service! Expedia needs to do better with how they present their properties! I have used Expedia for years, but they really let me down on this hotel. Old furniture, crowded spaces, super small bath. Smelled old too! I...
