“I think this was the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in, and we’ve stayed in a lot world wide . Great welcome, room spacious and clean. A nice area to sit in in the evening, food was available and lots of people were eating, we just had a glass of wine . Breakfast was really good, great selection, fresh and good variety . “Strikingly looking hotel. Unfortunately on entering reception, we were greeted with a dirty carpet, which carries on into the bar area with lots of stains. Our room was up 2 flights of stairs, which I wasn't aware of when I booked. Therefore, in this heatwave, the room was an oven. There was a desk fan - 'thank goodness'. Pleased with the room, the layout and amenities. Curtains need seeing to, useless and need blackouts! All the staff were pleasant and hard working. Did not expect a buffet...

“Highly recommended. Faultless. The staff deserve a special mention as they are excellent in all respects. An example is Carol who warmly greets you at breakfast and is a joy. Both breakfast and dinner were very good and the bar and terrace area is spacious with fantastic west facing views. The hotel is spectacularly located high up above the Wye Valley with a wide panorama. Many of the bedrooms benefit from these wonderful views. A great place to stay for exploring this beautiful area.”

“Disappointing stay raised with the manager but no meaningful resolution. The staff were friendly and the room had some positives, including clean linen, a good-sized TV and convenient parking, but unfortunately the overall experience was very poor.
