"I’m a regular and the view hotel and it’s awesome. Staff get to know you always friendly. Good gym too. Bar staff are great but please add new food options though. It’s been the same for years. Breakfast is incredible as are the staff they’re very funny and extremely helpful. Many thanks"

"It looked like it was decorated in the 1990s and probably looked fantastic back then. It was dated and shabby. There was a feel of a horror film when we arrived. However, the breakfast was tasty. Staff were really helpful although for such a large place they had few staff. It was a bit lifeless with the bar not being open, we had to have a hot drink in our room. Unfortunately, the rooms were like saunas even with opening windows. Everything was clean but a bit run down. I think the price was reasonable for the experience and location. I would book again. Cheap and cheerful."

The only down side was that we couldn’t close the bathroom door as it kept jamming and the view from room 51 is messy brambles and over grown hedge but the bird song was good from the rustic setting and I would rather that than noise from other guests so 98% perfect room. I would certainly return."
