“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”

“For what I needed, a quick stopover, it did the job but there were a few things that could have been done to improve the stay! The room (# 400) had an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke when I entered and not being a smoker it was very off putting. I opened both the bedroom and bathroom windows, put the fan on and went out for an hour. When I came back the smell wasn't quite as bad but as a non-smoker, it was still a strong smell. The room itself was a little tired with broken cupboard draws....
