"Kitchen manager was rude one night we arrived at 932 pm from a tour to ask if we could have some food. ( they stopped serving at 930 but it was a buffet). He was extremely rude and quickly ushered us out of the dining area."

"Our stay of 2 nights was excellent. Staff was very helpful with any questions we had. We arrived early and they were accommodating to hold our luggages while we explored the area. The hotel is located at the heart of downtown a minute away from the famous colorful Madeira sign. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were always excellent. We particularly enjoyed visiting the rooftop (terrace) bar, especially during its "happy hour"! Mixed feelings about our room. Although undoubtedly stylish, it was surprisingly dark and we thoroughly disliked the needlessly complex lighting controls. We would also have preferred a more complete separation of "private" facilities (toilet and shower) from the other living quarters. "

"This is the second time I have stayed here and it won’t be the last. Perfect location, facilities, rooms are clean, staff are friendly. It’s the perfect all rounder and I can’t wait to return in the new year."

"Location wise it cannot be faulted, it is a three star, but has clean towels and sheets. I went alone and for a short trip it was perfect"

"Great customer service, breakfast options and balcony views. They also seem to take care of the stray cats on the property so that's a definite plus for animal lovers!"
